Trump's act unites Muslims against Israel: Iraqi figure

(AhlulBayt News Agency) - US President Donald Trump's decision to recognize al-Quds (Jerusalem) as capital of the Zionist regime united Muslims against the regime, Iraqi figure said.

'This issue created consensus among Muslims and escalated Muslims' protest demonstrations aimed at opposing Trump,' Hashem al-Heydari, the Iraqi Hezbollah Brigades Secretary-General and Popular Mobilization Forces (also known as PMU or Hashd al-Shaabi) figure said in a local ceremony on Tuesday.

He said that the Trump move is the beginning to the end of the Zionist regime.

Al-Heydari referred to developments in various parts of Islamic World, including Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Iran, Palestine, Yemen, Bahrain, Nigeria and Afghanistan, and said that there is a full-scale war between Muslim countries on the one side and the US, Zionists and Saudis on the other.

The cleric hailed collapse of ISIS's self-proclaimed caliphate in Iraq and Syria.

US president's Dec 6 announcement to recognize Beit-ul Moqaddas as the capital city of Israel has faced extensive criticisms all over the world even from the US allies.
